[16] Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.

[11] For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ [12] There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

What is a cornerstone?

1 an important quality or feature on which a particular thing depends or is based:
2 a stone that forms the base of a corner of a building, joining two walls.
3 the chief foundation on which something is constructed or developed.
Our faith is based 100% on believing that Jesus is who He said He is. If it were a lie, than millions of people over thousands of years have pulled off the biggest lie in history.
Conservatively, Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophesies in His earthly ministry that were prophesied thousands of years before He was born.
So how does that math add up?
- 1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies is a 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 chance
- 1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies is 1 chance in 10 to the 157th power
- 1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: Only Jesus!
All of this math adds up to the truth that there is only one way to have eternal life. Our earthly bodies will all someday expire, but our souls will not. It is up to us to decide now where we will spend our eternity. God has given us the free gift of salvation and all we have to do is accept His grace and live for Him.
Many people say that all religions lead to heaven. That is an absolute lie! God clearly laid out plan for redeeming us in His infallible Word (The Bible). Those that teach otherwise are believing the lies of the enemy of our souls.
Man’s way is not the right way. When we believe false doctrines and lies that the devil has tricked and fooled so many people with, we will end in a path to eternal death. Jesus came that we have eternal life. It is so easy, yet so many people make it so hard.
Proverbs 16:25 NKJV
[25] There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

[12] Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The cornerstone of our faith is Jesus. He said of Himself that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Many say, “how can there only be one way to heaven?” But we should rejoice that the Heavenly Father provided a Way, the one and only way, for us to be redeemed and spend eternity with Him, otherwise we too would be eternally condemned. God loves us so much that He is not willing that any of us would perish and waits patiently for His children to come to repentance.

[6] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Living for the cornerstone of our faith, Jesus, is not a life of no fun, drab, bible-thumping, being a “Jesus Freak,” etc. — you’ve heard all the terms that the world calls Christians. But living a life that is on a straight and narrow path for the lover of our soul, the One True God, the Creator of heaven and earth, our Redeemer, our Messiah, and the Ancient of Days, is a life of adventure, hope, peace and love that we cannot experience in any other way.
We are all born with a Jesus-sized hole in our hearts that can only be filled by the cornerstone of our faith. We try to fill it with many other things to try to feel fulfilled, but there is no other way in all of the universe to fill that hole other than the simple act of accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and carrying our cross for Him.
This is not a burden. It is not hard. Before Christ, our lives are filled with bondage, heavy yokes, worries and stress leading to a pathway of destruction. Jesus came that we would have an abundant life, giving us rest for our souls, an easy yoke and burdens that are light. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we truly become Born Again and God forgives us of all of our past, hits the reset button for us and puts our name in the Lamb’s Book of Life, where we are assured of our eternal life with Him.
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
[28] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The Chief Cornerstone is Jesus. He is the one and only way for us to have redemption and have eternal life.
