John 14:1-6 NKJV
[1] “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. [2] In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. [4] And where I go you know, and the way you know.” [5] Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” [6] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Good Morning!
When Thomas asks the question, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”, Jesus replied with one of the most profound and dogmatic statements in the Bible. This verse has been one of the most quoted and memorized scriptures in the last 2000 years. It is one that has given clear-cut assurance that Jesus is who He says He is. It is a verse that has changed lives and given hope to the lost that did not know the way. There are many religions in this world that were made by man, but only one true religion is that of God.

Jesus said, I AM the way. He did not say he knows the way or can show us the way. He IS the way to heaven. He did not say He knows the truth or that He merely teaches the truth (although He did), He said He IS the truth. He is the one who fulfilled all of the prophesies. Again, He did not say He can show you life, but He IS the life. He is the creator, not the created. He has given life to all and is the giver of physical, spiritual and eternal life.

No one comes to the father except through Him. Heaven is not earned. It is not received by joining a church, obeying rules, or being a good person. It is received only through Jesus. People say that all religions lead to heaven at last, but Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” Therefore, those who are followers of Christ, know that the truth that sets us free, the way that directs our souls and the life that leads to eternal salvation.

Be encouraged and blessed to know the way and that there is a way. Many men and women wander through their lives without without hope, without direction and live lives that are lost. We have the hope of our Lord and can live in blessed assurance of our eternity with Him.

This concludes the I AM series of who Jesus said He was.

To recap once more. Jesus said:
1. I AM the bread of life.
2. I AM the light of the world.
3. I AM the door of the sheep.
4. I AM the good shepherd.
5. I AM the resurrection and the life
6. I AM the true vine
7. I am the way, the truth and the life.

I love you and am praying for you today!
