Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
[8] “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. [9] “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Good Morning!
You’ve heard the phrase that “God Works In Mysterious Ways” and we will never fully understand the ways of God. We are not capable of understanding how He created all things and all life. Our human minds do not have the capacity to know His ways, except for what He has revealed to us in His word. It is there that He has revealed to us His intentions, thoughts and secrets.

Psalm 25:14 NKJV
[14] The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

If you think about it, the Creator of the Universe has given to us a written manual for this life, to know how we should live and how we should die, to know how we should love, act and inspire others to do the same. So many people overlook this “owner’s manual,” yet it contains the very fabric of who God is and how we should serve Him. It shows us His ways and plan He has for all of creation.

Psalm 40:5 NIV
[5] Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.

His ways are so much higher than our ways. I’ve heard one preacher say that if you think about Isaiah 55:9 (above), the closest physical heaven is the stars. The closest start to us is the sun. The sun is 93,000,000 miles away from earth. Put that into perspective of how much higher God’s ways are than our ways and we just scratch the surface of beginning to know His ways.

The light from the sun travels 186,000 miles per second. How much faster does God hear our prayers and speak to our hearts through His Holy Spirit? We serve a BIG God. Isaiah tells us that Heaven is His throne and earth is His footstool. There is nothing too big or complicated for Him. There is not a prayer that goes unheard. There is not a hair on our head that He has not counted. Our understanding of Him will never be fully realized, but faith gives us the ability to put our hope in Him and His mysterious ways, walking in faith and not by sight.

Isaiah 66:1 NIV
[1] This is what the Lord says:
“Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?

Hebrews 11:1 AMP
[1] Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality-faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
[7] For we walk by faith, not by sight.

We are God’s masterpiece and He loves us more than we could ever know or understand. His ways are merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abounding in goodness and truth. We serve a forgiving God that gives us 2nd, 3rd, 4th +++ chances. His love never lacks and He is always willing to take us back when we have sinned against Him, removing our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. He knows the stuff we are made of as He created us from dust. He understands our flaws, sins, temptations and our ways, yet has pity on those who sincerely ask for His forgiveness and fear Him.

Exodus 34:6 NKJV
[6] And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,

Psalm 103:11-14 NKJV
[11] For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; [12] As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. [13] As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. [14] For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

When we humble ourselves before Him, we put ourselves in a position to be taught His ways. A humble spirit and contrite heart is all He desires of us. It is then that we can follow the path that He has set out for us. It is then that He can begin a new work in us, bearing fruit for His kingdom. God has a special and unique plan for all of us. He has given us all unique gifts, talents and abilities. When we yield ourselves to the Creator of the universe, He will begin to work in mysterious ways in our own lives.

Psalm 25:9-10 NKJV
[9] The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. [10] All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Isaiah 57:15 NKJV
[15] For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

People, from the beginning of time, have tried to do things their own way. Adam and Eve did not listen to God’s instruction and sinned. Like Adam and Eve, God knows we have all gone astray, but he has laid out a plan of redemption for us through His son, Jesus. God’s way for humanity is for us to live with Him in eternity. He is not willing that any of us should perish and He created a plan for us that we can live with Him in eternity. It is only up to us to “activate” that plan by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Isaiah 53:6 NIV
[6] We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God’s ways are infinitely higher than our ways. We will never fully understand them, yet using His owner’s manual, He guides us to know His ways for our lives and the path we should follow. We should not try to live a life that is right in our own eyes, but let God speak to our hearts as we humble ourselves before Him and letting Him work His ways in us.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad

Proverbs 21:2 NKJV
[2] Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.

Micah 4:12a NIV
[12] But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord; they do not understand his plan…
