Good Morning!

Grace — What is it? Simply explained, it is God’s free gift to us of eternal life, even though we do not deserve it. It is receiving the gift of salvation that we do not deserve, nor could we ever earn in a million lifetimes. God grants to us Grace when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is a free gift that we receive when we believe in what Christ did for us. As Ephesians 2 says, it is not a reward for good things we have done, meaning we can’t earn Grace.

Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT
[8] God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. [9] Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. [10] For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 1:7 tells us that God is RICH in Grace. He has plenty for everyone and does not lack. We merely just need to accept the free gift he offers. When we receive God’s grace, we are a new creation in Christ Jesus. We are “born again.” We become heirs to God’s kingdom, giving us all of the benefits of being a child of God. We can live in the plans that He has for us that He planned long ago.

Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, everyone is born into a sinful nature and separated from God, yet He has reconciled us to Himself through the death of Christ, bringing us into His presence and making us blameless. That is the Good News of the Bible. That is the reason for followers of Christ to have such joy and faith in our Lord. That is the reason that we should be so eager to share this love with others. God’s plan is for us to live eternally with Him in heaven, a place that we can only imagine the glorious riches He has in store for us. We should want everyone we know to have the Grace of God in their lives for this same joy and peace.

Colossians 1:21-22 NLT
[21] This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. [22] Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

This life offers many challenges, but if we put our hope and faith in God and know that we are part of His plan of eternity with Him, than the days on this earth should grow dim in comparison to eternity. This life is just like a mist, here today and gone tomorrow. It will go by in a flash in comparison to eternity. Therefore we should all put our hope in what is to come by accepting God’s free gift of Grace and share it with as many as we can.

I pray that today your lives are filled with God’s Grace.
I love you and am praying for you.
Dad
