Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV
[13] “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. [14] “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. [15] Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Good Morning!
We, as followers of Christ, are called to be above the world’s standards. God wants us to rise up amongst the crowd. He wants people to see what is different in our lives so that His Word is spread throughout the world and His name is glorified. We are called to be “salt and light.” Our light is to shine brightly into the hearts of others and our words are to be seasoned with salt so that people see and hear the difference in our lives.

So what does all of this mean? It means that as we go throughout our daily lives, we are to live as an example to others. It means to let other people feel God’s glory reflecting off of our lives so that we can influence others that have not yet given their hearts to The Lord. People watch people. They know through our works, acts and words what kind of person we really are. We should lead a life that is full of examples to others with acts of kindness and love. God wants us to be happy to give – a cheerful giver. He loves when we are giving and He always blesses us in return. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.

Watch and see. God will open up opportunities for you. As we live with salt and light daily, and pour into others lives, He will pour out blessings into our lives.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad

Isaiah 60:1-3 TLB
[1] Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you. [2] Darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you. [3] All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 ERV
[6] Remember this: The one who plants few seeds will have a small harvest. But the one who plants a lot will have a big harvest. [7] Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give. [8] And God can give you more blessings than you need, and you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 NKJV
[4] “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! [5] You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. [6] “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. [7] You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Luke 6:38 ERV
[38] Give to others, and you will receive. You will be given much. It will be poured into your hands-more than you can hold. You will be given so much that it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.”
