Psalm 5:3 NIV
In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

Psalm 27:8 NKJV
[8] When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

Good Morning!
It is important to find a time in your daily routine that you set aside to just spend time with The Lord. For everyone, it is different, but I personally love my morning devotion time. It is before all the hustle and bustle of the day starts. It is quiet and I can just sit sipping my coffee and waking up reading God’s Word and just meditating on His promises. It is a time that I am not willing to give up for anything. It has taken me many years to really get into this routine, starting with just 10-15 minutes and now it is usually an hour+, depending on the day. Some days (like today), my brain is alert at 4:00 am. Those days are a bonus as it gives me more devotion time. But no matter if you are a morning person or a night owl, find that special time just starting with 10-15 minutes. You’ll soon discover that this is THE MOST important part of your day and it sets the tone for everything else that happens that day. It prepares you to take on anything the world will throw at you knowing that God always “has your back” (and front and sides).

So as you start or finish your day today, just get alone with God and His Word. Let the scriptures speak to your heart and mind and you’ll soon too discover why this time is so important in our lives. As this becomes part of your daily routine, guard and covet this time to be uninterrupted so that although it may be short, it is high quality. God gives us His best, so we should give Him our best.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad

Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV
[33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Psalm 63:1 NKJV
O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

Philippians 4:13 NKJV
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
