Psalm 131:1-3 NIV
[1] My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. [2] But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. [3] Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.

Good Morning!
There are things in this world that we will never understand. Questions are asked all the time, “Why is there sickness? Why are there disasters? Why doesn’t God do something about such and such?” There are reasons beyond our ability to understand that God has in place for His glory. David writes it so elegantly when he says, “I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.”

Essentially, David is just admitting that there are things he will never understand, yet he is content in knowing that our loving Heavenly Father has it all under control. There are countless “secrets” that belong to The Lord that we will not ever understand until we are in heaven. But God reveals to us the matters that are important so that we may follow His ways.

Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV
[29] “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

This life has so many opportunities for us to do good. God wants us to not get caught up in “the secret things,” but to focus on the things he has revealed to us. He wants us to “go and bear fruit” — that is the marching orders for us as followers of Christ. The Lord of the harvest will worry about all of the other details.

John 15:16 NKJV
[16] You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Jesus tells us that the fields are ready for harvest. People before us have planted seeds into others’ lives, just as we have sewn seeds. We often wonder if those seeds will ever sprout or grow as we continue to water them, cultivate them, and pray for them to rise up and reach out towards the sun (Son). It is up to God to choose who will sew and who will harvest. It is up to us to only keeping on being a willing vessel to carry out our marching orders.

John 4:35-38 NIV
[35] Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. [36] Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. [37] Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. [38] I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”

As we continue to labor on, revering our Heavenly Father and worshipping Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God reveals to us His secrets that are to be known. The Word of God is filled with His promises that we can stand on. Jesus is the Friend that will never leave us or forsake us. We are friends of God because of what Jesus did for us. That is the secret that we all know very well and that is revealed to us throughout the scriptures, all of which point to Jesus.

Psalm 25:14 TLB
[14] Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises.

John 15:15 NKJV
[15] No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

John 5:39 NLT
[39] “You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!

Be blessed in knowing we are a friend of God and that the TOP SECRET is no secret at all, but has been revealed to us so that we know the true path to heaven.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad
