2 Kings 6:16-17 NKJV
[16] So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Good Morning!
I’ve never seen the movie, Chariots of Fire, so I will probably have to watch it now. But long before the movie, God performed a miracle when Elisha and his servant were surrounded by an army closing in on them. Yet Elisha prayed for God to show the servant what was hidden and when he did, the servant then saw that God’s angelic army surrounded them with horses and chariots of fire.

That is not just a fable or story, but a real historic moment in the Bible. Today, we don’t see the miracles of the Old Testament so much any more. But that does not mean that God is not working in our lives every day. If we could only see what is hidden, we would all stand in amazement and awe of God’s miracles. Every day, we are being watched over and protected in so many circumstances that we are not even aware of. In reality, we all probably should have died 100 times over, but God is for us and he protects us and allows us to have breath in our lungs. We need to be thankful every day we wake up another day for the breath that He gives us.

It is up to us how we choose to live each day. God is for us, so we should be for Him. We should be thankful that he chose for us to live another day with Him and in return we should follow Him and His will for our lives. Each day has its challenges, obstacles, opportunities and rewards. Each day is a slice of this life that we can use for good or we can ignore God’s will and follow the ways of the world. Tomorrow is never a guarantee. That is why the Bible tells us over and over, not to put off what God has in store for us. The only guarantee we have is right now. This life, compared to eternity, is a mist – here today and gone tomorrow.

Take advantage of today with all that God has in store for you. Let Him lead you and decide to truly follow His will for your life. Be humble and praise Him for what He has done for us. The heart of our Heavenly Father is truly one that is FOR US, not against us. He loves us and wants what is best for us as His children.

I love you and am praying for you today!

Romans 8:31 NKJV
[31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Job 33:4 NKJV
[4] The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Psalm 150:6 NKJV
[6] Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

James 4:13-17 ESV
[13] Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”- [14] yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. [15] Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” [16] As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. [17] So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
