Hebrews 11:1 NLT
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
[7] for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises

Good Morning!
As we encounter each day, God calls us to walk by faith and not by sight. It is difficult to do in our human minds — trying to get out of your own head sometimes can be rather impossible. But as we focus on God and His Word, it gets easier. God gives us many many verses throughout the Bible that encourage us and help us along so that we can get our minds and our hearts right.

Faith, simply put, is just trusting in God that He is in control and He is who He says He is. He has always been from before time began and will be forevermore. We have, as followers of Christ, the confidence in His Word that He is who He says He is and He will do what He says He will do. None of His words will ever return to Him void. So we have the assurance that we can absolutely, positively, stand on the promises of His Word and know that He loves His children dearly. He even knows the number of hairs on our heads (or lack of in my case 😁).

Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Matthew 10:30 NKJV
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. When people refuse to believe God is who He says He is, they are calling him a liar. We don’t want to be one of those people.

Hebrews 11:6 NLT
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

1 John 5:10 NLT
All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.

“Faith is the only thing that gives God His proper place, and puts man in his place too. ‘It glorifies God exceedingly,’ writes C. H. Mackintosh, ‘because it proves that we have more confidence in His eyesight that in our own.’ Faith not only believes that God exists, but it also trusts Him to reward those who diligently seek Him. There is nothing about God that makes it impossible for men to believe. The difficulty is with the human will.” (From Believers Bible Commentary)

So let us walk by faith and not by sight. When you have something in this world that is giving you stress, anxiety or unrest, stand on the Word of God that He is who He says He is and His words never return void. He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. This life is the “dress rehearsal” for our eternity with Him. Let’s rehearse daily putting our faith and trust in that which we hope for and the evidence of things we cannot see.

I love you and am praying for you today!
