Psalm 37:4 NKJV
Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Good Morning!
As we grow in our faith, God puts desires in your heart that are for His purposes. He truly directs our paths and the Holy Spirit gives us an inward “sixth sense” of whether a decision is right or not in our lives. Let’s all get better at paying attention and listening to that still small voice that God speaks to us in. We know, as believers in Christ, that God makes our paths straight and directs us daily, even in small decisions. So as we face life challenges and feel anxious about life decisions, know that we have a God that is leading us by His Spirit.

Romans 8:5 NKJV
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

It is very easy to get distracted by the things of the world. I have done this in my own life and it never ended up good. But God has always brought me back to the path that He had for me when I surrendered to His will and let myself be guided by Him. We are all going to make mistakes as we are only human and God knows that about us. He easily forgives us and gets us back on track when we ask for forgiveness and change our hearts toward Him and His will. As Jesus said, “my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Don’t carry burdens that are not meant to be yours to carry. Let God give you rest and forgiveness and choose to follow His will.

Romans 12:2 NKJV
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Psalm 103:14 NKJV
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

It is so easy for us to let the “carrots” dangled in front of us distract us from the plan that God has for us. If we let  His Spirit guide and direct us daily, we can expect the unexpected to happen in our lives. God will bless us beyond what we could have ever imagined and the plans that we had will pale in comparison.

I love you and am praying for you today,
Dad
