Psalm 62:7-8 NKJV
[7] In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. [8] Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Good Morning!

Refuge: condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.

Sometimes we feel like we are out of touch with God. It may be a trial we are going through, a conflict in the workplace, someone attacking our personal integrity, or just feeling the pressure of the world on our shoulders. It happens to all of us and we feel defeated and deflated. These are the trials of life that we face. But we can take joy, hope and gain strength knowing that God, the creator of the universe is our refuge. He pulls us in closely during these times and protects us. Even David, in the Psalms, who was constantly being pursued by his enemies for his life, took refuge in The Lord Our God and trusted in Him to be delivered from his enemies and God came through and did just that as he went on to be King and all of his enemies were defeated.

We can learn many lessons from the Psalms of David, the biggest is just knowing and trusting in God when things don’t look good for us and we feel the enemies breath on our necks. God will deliver us in those times of trouble and will not only protect us, but deliver us to safety.

Sometimes being strong in our own strength is not enough, but God gives us deep inner strength to carry on and live our lives without fear and in His peace that surpasses all understanding. Be blessed today to know that we have God on our side and as we follow Him, he blesses all of our steps and leads us to safety.

I love you and am praying for you today!
Dad

Psalm 91:1-4 NLT
[1] Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. [3] For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. [4] He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Proverbs 18:10 NLT
[10] The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
[6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
